Lake District Summer Music combines one of the leading classical music festivals and summer schools in the UK.
CNJ Media were asked to step in just five weeks from the start of the 2007 festival taking over from their in-house marketing activity. Our responsibility was to establish LDSM within the local community and communicate the sheer size and benefit to the local economy, whilst making sure the event achieved national exposure..
The website was the first marketing tool used to communicate with would be festival goers and students attending the International Summer School and Young String venture courses.
Ticket sales rose by 5% during the first year of our involvement and a planned operation commenced to get LDSM onto events listings throughout the UK and abroad.
A complete redesign of all print material was undertaken to represent the relationship between the amazing Lake District landscape and the beautiful music produced by the event.
In 2008 the Festival grew by 9.2% and additional events such as Music for a Foreign Land saw further increases in ticket sales. We are very proud to be associated with Lake District Summer Music.
